- Act for — ਕਿਸੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਾ।

ਇੱਕ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਰੀਜ਼ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
2. Act upon —-ਸੁਝਾਅ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਾ।

ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਤੇ ਅਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਚੋਰ ਨੇ ਤਜੋਰੀ ਭੰਨ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
